Obviously, I'm really bad at blogging

If you really want to keep up with me...friend me on facebook search for Brandy Gilliam Vega. I am much better at posting on there because I can do it from my Iphone. It's such an easy way to keep in touch with family on a way more regular basis. It's a piece of cake to upload pictures and stuff. I prefer it over this and do it a lot more often. If you don't have a facebook acct do it, it's easier than blogging! Don't get me wrong blogging is great too because it's more like a joural but because I am on the go 24/7 I don't find enough time in the day.
Things are going well on our end. Kyah turned 3 on Oct.4th Tyson turned 33 Oct 23rd. My mom just had another back surgery...Poor thing.
Tyson honestly works about 18-20 hours a day, it's ridiculous. I work a lot too but hours are still 3:30am-12:30 M-F.
I've been trying to hire a new nanny mine just quit. So, life gets very hectic! But, I know that we are blessed...very blessed and I'm grateful.

Sick...

Ugg, I've been sick for about 6 days now. It's not fun at all. I may have to go to the dr and get checked out...I just hate to go for them to tell me, take some tylenol and rest! My mom thinks it may be swine flu. I've had a horrible headache, body aches, no energy, nausea, sore throat, runny nose and chills! Anyway, I'm hoping it will just go away and I'll feel better but I doubt it! I'll keep ya posted.

Adia shot a rifle today!

Today we shot 2 episodes of Lock and Load. The first one was on youth rifles so I brought Adia and Clark our gun expert brought his daughter too. She has a cricket 22 rifle. Adia wasn't even scared! She just picked up the gun aimed at the target and fired. She hit the target every time. I was so impressed! Like mother like daughter!

The whole way home she was asking if I could buy her a gun...begging. She loved it. Tonight she was asking me if I could take her hunting so she could shoot a bear, deer or maybe a chipmunk!

I told her that I don't hunt she said that's ok you can still take me. I want a chipmunk skin.

I said maybe for her birthday she can get a little pink rifle.

I think I may have created a monster. ;o) Or at least a "Gun Nut"!

Ahhh, where do the days go...

I've got so much to catch up on...I don't know where to start. The trek was amazing! I had such a great time. I had to do the video for the ward Rescue Dinner. So, I edited the whole bus ride home 7hrs so we could show it. Here's the links. I posted it on Youtube in 2 parts.

I highly recommend going on a Trek if you get the opportunity. 

Last weekend I went to Cleveland to see some of my dear friends from Kosovo. I haven't seen them in 9 years and I've been trying to go for about 5 and finally I made it. I was sad to miss the reunion but it was the only time all of the kids were home from college. I was so humbled to see them. They are WONDERFUL. They are second family and I'm blessed to know them. 

I will post pictures and share some stories next time...Pizza just got here!!! woot woot ;o)

Going on the Pioneer Trek

Tyson and I leave for Martins Cove Wyoming at 5am tomorrow with our ward for the Mormon Pioneer Trek. We are youth coordinators for our ward and will be embarking on this adventure returning home Saturday night! Should be hard, fun and spiritual! 

I'll post pictures when we get back. I'm in charge of doing the video. I should have it up on Youtube next week as well.

Tysons mom and dad are watching the girls for us and have a lot of fun activities planned for them. They are super excited. We are dropping them off tonight.

So much fun with McKenna & Calvin..

My mom and Jim met Leslie and Will in Page for the 4th of July and brought the kids back with them for a 2 week vacation. Adia and Kyah have absolutely LOVED having their cousins here. I wish they lived her! ;o(

We've had a blast. I've posted some pictures from some of our latest adventures. 

This is after the water park! Calvin was asleep next to them with a towel on his head! We went to a brand new waterpark in Draper called Cowabunga Bay. The kids had so much fun. I didn't get to try out any of the slides because I had to watch Kyah but it was a blast!

The kids also begged to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was the 8th anniversary and so the kids got their faces painted and played some games. The had fun playing in the big sandbox. Kyah loved the big huge shark!

McKenna and Calvin both wanted to come to work with me. Adia loves coming with me too despite having to get up at 2:30 A.M!!! I took McKenna with me on Monday. She had fun but unfortunately wasn't feeling well most of the day. She got worse and was unable to go to Cowabunga Bay with us...poor baby...she was so bummed! Calvin and Adia came to work with me today (Friday) and they had a great time. They did quite a bit of sleeping...they stayed up playing until after mid-night...(little sneakers!) We put them to bed at 10 but they got up and had a fashion show and played for hours. They were SOOOOOOO tired when I woke them up at 2:30! Our first assignment was near the freeway talking about a big DUI blitz. Then we got sent to Breaking News...and fully engulfed house fire. They had fun wondering around. Calvin was so cute. He got his phone out and took a bunch of pictures. They were my little tv news helpers. Everyone from KSL and the fire department thought they were so cute. Then we went to the Peace Gardens park and walked around. They had a blast catching snails! After that it was off to UHP to interview a trooper about another trooper getting nailed last night on the freeway by a drunk driver. They ate whatever we wanted and they had a blast.





We also went to Pineview Reservoir last weekend and stayed in a huge condo at Wolf Creek. It was awesome. I'll post pictures later. It was the first time Calvin and McKenna had ever been at the lake, in a boat and tubing. They had so much fun. We rented a boat and I loved every second of it...of course we all got sunburned despite lathering up with sunscreen several times. 

It has been a very busy but fun 2 weeks...I hope and pray that someday Leslie, Will and the kids will move back to Utah. I love being an aunt and miss my beautiful sister so much...and when that new baby comes...you've got to be here!!! I'll go crazy. ;o(

I went back to work at Ch.4 in Salt Lake City. It's the ABC affiliate. I'm a reporter/photographer. I work from 3:30am-12pm Monday thru Friday.

We were at Impact Guns in Ogden Utah yesterday shooting 2 episodes of the show. We did one with Angus Hobdell. He's a world famous shooter and gun designer. It's so much fun doing the show.
